StarCom 21

The following channel lay-out was done (for most radios) during the 2008-2009 "rebanding" of the
STARCOM21 radios issued to Illinois Agencies.

The "zone" is selected with a "Zone-Up" and "Zone-Down" button, often the "2" and "3" buttons on the keypad on the front of the radio. The "Mode" is the "channel". The limit of 16 means little for a mobile, but the  portables have 16 positions on the channel knob, so it is a logical grouping.

If you have an old list for a "rebanded" radio, please replace your lists with the following:

A cross-reference from the old 'zone" the new template would be:

Old - IESMA, ILEAS, MABAS, PUB HLTH, INCIDENT1, INCIDENT2, INCIDENT3

New - In ZONE AA - Identical to old template

Old - REGION1, REGION2, REGION3
New - IN Zone AA - ZONE 1, ZONE 2, ZONE 3

Old - REGION4 through REGION9
New - IN Zone AA - RGN 2A, RGN 2B, RGN 3A, RGN 3B, RGN 4A, RGN 4B

Old - REGION10 through REGION19
New - IN Zone AB - RGN 6A, RGN 6B, RGN 7A, RGN 7B, RGN 8A, RGN 8B, RGN 9A, RGN 9B, RGN 11A, RGN 11B
